I have a busy week ahead, and not in the fun way. For anyone on the outside, this will all be quite boring. Todya, we are finally priming the last room in our house. It’s the guest bedroom, so the place any of you might stay if you do stay over. We tore out all the drywall and ceiling and rebuilt it all. The old walls were just a mess and it was easier to just drywall them than to try and patch them. So today is priming and then fixing those little mistakes you always find after you get white primer up.
Tomorrow, we have to drive 2 and half hours, each way, to go to our country house and empty out the last of my father-in-laws stuff. We just sold the place and have already got most of the stuff out. All that’s left is everything in the garden shed. So tomorrow is a write off for anything.
Wednesday will be a painting day for the guest bedroom plus we have to still do some baseboard and casings in the basement hallway, get the new lighting up, and a few other things.
Thursday, we have to take my father-in-law into Montreal to see his Cardiologist. He has to go in for heart valve transplant surgery and this is a pre-op meeting. It’s mid afternoon, so will take up most of the productive part of the day. If we have time, we’ll do more finishing work on the house.
Friday, we have to take the dog in to get groomed and also do yet more finishing and trim work on the house. I’ll be ready to party on Friday night!
Well, I hope that Valentine’s Day won’t be a “write-off day for anything”, as you described it in your Monday missive, but a celebration of all the esteem and affection in which you are held, not only by your immediate significant others, but by your legion of Internet members and fans (including me) who cherish all the pleasure you always return to US! Happy Valentine’s Day, sweet and beautiful blonde goddess of cyberspace!
Sounds like you have your work cut out for you..however its nice the way you ended your post..Lol..so CarolCox!!
Are you going to the bar tonight?
Are you planning to be at your local tonight. I was planning to drive out to see you. I’m on the W.I. So I don’t want to drive an hour to sit sadly in a Carol challenged bar.
